hi, i’m christine kumiko

(pronounced KOO-mee-koh)

& i’m my mother's daughter.  she passed along to me her love of shoes, books, and black coffee. she also has the best handwriting ever and i like to think i got some of that, too.

i received my first calligraphy kit when i was 9 and started learning modern calligraphy in 2013.  as a type-A creative, i studied architecture in college thinking that it would perfectly satisfy both sides of my personality.  but physics is hard, you know?  luckily, i’ve found that combo of beautiful, practical design in calligraphy and i’m stickin’ with it.

and if you’re curious, i’m a one on the enneagram, never met a gin + tonic i didn’t like, and am writing this at 5:45am because that’s how bad of a night owl i am.
